Humprey’s Market opening in Fox Park

Tucked away amongst the warehouses of the industrial section of the Fox Park neighborhood of St. Louis, a new neighborhood market is setting up shop. Located at 2601 Iowa Avenue (the southwest corner of Iowa and Sidney), the building recently sold and is now under construction. The business will operate under the name Humphrey’s Market and Catering.

This soon to open market will be located just down the block from St. Louis’ KIPP Charter School, now in its second year of operation. I have always considered the under-developed warehouses in that area to be an untapped opportunity. Perhaps with more new businesses such as Humphrey’s, one of those warehouses could be the next development target.
