St. Louis Food Hub coming to Bohemian Hill

It’s not a Schnuck’s, but it looks like a grocer might finally be setting up shop along the long-idle development in South St. Louis area of Bohemian Hill (near Lafayette Square). Other than a Walgreens, no other building has broken ground in the area since the Georgian Square project was the center of an eminent domain controversy back in 2007. Located across the street for the old City Hospital (now dubbed The Georgian), the St. Louis Food Hub will be a 35,000 sq ft retail space. Created through a partnership between Sappington Market and Chris Goodson (a pricipal at Georgian-developer, Gilded Age) is targeting a late-2012 opening.

I really like the Sappington Farmers Market, I hope the Sappington Market you refer to is from the same people.

It is. Hopefully this plan pans out. Probably know before the end of the summer.
